Bone Defect +GBR
35 Y old male patient. missing teeth 36 and 37. Tooth 36 was extracted 8 months earlier at another dentist following several episodes of swelling and fistulas tract formation with pus drainage. tooth 37 was extracted several years earlier. Plan was to place an implant at tooth 37, debride the defect at 36 and place a bone substitute material, then come back after 4 months to place an implant in hopefully new healed bone.

Fernandez, Juan alberto..It was my intention to use autogenous bone originally, however for some technical reasons we ended up using a bone substitute. Yes i agree we could have also left the defect empty, hoping that new bone will fill in, but to maximize our chances we decided to use the bone substitute material. I plan to reenter the site in 4-5 months

Well done. When will you reentry the area?.
I would have used autogenous or ,even, nothing.
Especting the final result, receive my compliment.
