Sinus lift with simultaneous implant placement
48 Y old male patient. Wanted to replace tooth 16 (upper right first molar) with a dental implant. Initial measurements on the CBCT scan showed a bone height of 4.5 mm. A lateral sinus lift together with simultaneous implant placement was planned. Experimenting with the Dask Burs from Dentium , Initially i planned for a "wall off" approach but the bone was too dense and the bony disk wouldn't separate so i resorted to thinning out the lateral wall using the other bur designed for that purpose. A small tear at the superior aspect of the lateral wall window preparation was noted at the end of the elevation procedure and was addressed using a repair collagen membrane. A 4.7*11.5mm implant was successfully placed with excellent primary stability.
